How to activate MAC anonymization on Windows 10

Two options are available for utilizing random hardware addresses - one for all Wi-Fi networks and the other for a selected Wi-Fi network. When the feature is enabled for all networks, your PC will utilize random hardware addresses during network scanning and connection to any network. On the other hand, when activated for a specific network, the system will use random hardware addresses upon subsequent connections to that particular network.

Turn on the feature for all networks

  1. Select Start navigate to Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi .
  2. Turn on Random hardware addresses option.

Activate the feature for a particular network

  1. Select Start navigate to Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks .
  2. Choose the desired Wi-Fi network and adjust the Random hardware addresses setting accordingly.
