How to activate MAC anonymization on Windows 11

Enabling random hardware addresses is possible through two controls, one for all Wi-Fi networks and the other for a specific network of your choice. If you activate this feature for all networks, your PC will use random hardware addresses while scanning and connecting to any Wi-Fi network. If you activate it for a specific network, the system will use random hardware addresses when you connect to that particular network.

Turn on the feature for all networks

  1. Select Start navigate to Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi .
  2. Turn on Random hardware addresses option.

Activate the feature for a particular network

  1. Select Start navigate to Settings > Network & internet > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks .
  2. Choose the desired Wi-Fi network and adjust the Random hardware addresses setting accordingly.
